In 1976 Bruce could have had the world in the palm of his hand. One more succesful album and nothing would stand in his way. But the lawsuit with his manager Mike Appel instead turned this year and the next into a nightmare. Bruce was prevented from recording in the studio and therefore took refuge on the road playing shows all across the States, from obscure little towns in the deep South to New York City. Actually, this was several small tours, but they have been known under the name "The Chicken Scratch Tour". Some say these concerts were Bruce's finest hour.
